In our family, a group of brothers, sisters, brothers in-law, cousins, special friends and including my son, daughter and wife, in pursuit of a common passion, formed the club Tarlac Anglers. A closely related group bonded together by their love and fascination for the sports that is called Angling. The group is composed of members not only from Tarlac City but also from Manila, Quezon City, Laguna and Batangas. Though there really is no formal formation and strictly defined guiding policies the members remain dedicated to the club and to the sports.

Among the club’s favorite fishing sites are Bani, Pangasinan, Binakayan, Cavite, Subic Zambales and San Juan, Batangas for saltwater fishing and Tarlac City, Gerona, Tarlac, Kalayaan, Laguna and Coloong, Valenzuela, Metro Manila for freshwater angling. On special trips the club has also fished the waters of Mindoro, San Vicente, Cagayan and Balayan Bay in Batangas.
Bass fishing in Caliraya and Lumot Lakes is one of the favorite. The lakes are easily accessible from Manila and offer a lot of bass fishing action especially during the season. Bogs and Allen have some good harvests to show.
While other members are either quite busy with their job or are now working abroad, they still see to it that they join the group's activities whenever they are on vacation or special holidays.
For my self, whenever I go home for Christmas Vacation, fishing is one of my itinerary. Whether freshwater of saltwater, there got to be fishing activity in my schedule. Living the way of life of a Tarlac Angler is already in the blood.
